What's wrong with this picture ?

Well it's the fact that it shows that some lazy shopper can't be bothered to walk just a few yards to put the trolley in the trolley shelter. They just left it where they had emptied it into their vehicle.

I hate people like that.

  1. On the bright side, it keeps someone in a job, collecting them all up and taking them back. Well, they do at Tesco and Asda.

  2. On the dark side trolleys can run into your car when it's windy and damage it ... :-)

Still you have a point Mitch though the guys who work with the trolleys really just push them from the shelter to the supermarket entrance, often ignoring incoming traffic.

    1. Which is exactly what happened to me. Brand new car...not 10 days old, I park at the grocery store, shop, come out to a wind driven cart slammed up against my passenger side door. Put a nasty dent in it that cost me hundreds of dollars to fix.
      Grrrr....

    2. In one of the supermarkets in the UK you have to slip a £1 coin into a slot so you can remove a chain and get a trolley. Then when you take it back to the proper place you get your £1 coin back. Perhaps Sainsbury's ought to do the same.

I once had a really messy bit of damage on my passenger side door. It looked as though someone had tried to ram a trolley between my car and the one parked next to me [there were the scratches] and then pull it out when they realised they couldn't get through ... there were another set of slightly higher scratches ...

    3. It happens here, too, especially in the grocery store parking lots. It is amazing how lazy and inconsiderate people can be. The carts roll into people's cars.......very aggravating.

    4. It only takes one person and there's usually one around.

  3. I hate it too, Charlie, but sometimes I try to be charitable and think that perhaps the person who left it there was feeling so sick (or handicapped) that they just couldn't put the cart away.

I'm not sure if such a thing would happen, but it makes me feel less annoyed.

And your blog on Blogger is the only one that I can reliably access!

    1. I think you're are being far too considerate and kind ...

As for only being able to get to my blog on Blogger I think you just need to persevere and you'll soon find it's a good site. It's what I now call home anyway.

    1. I want to become a vigilante and hunt these people down. I'm sure I could spend my whole day in the car park of our local supermarket and pick up on people's faults and misdemeanours.

  5. I hate it when kids get hold of them and launch themselves into bushes, my son spent many a merry hour doing that when he was a teen

    1. Yes, damaging the bushes and trees in the car park is another of my pet hates too. The big van that knocks a branch of a 5 or 6 year old silver birch does my 'ead in ...

  6. I am with you and your hate of these people. I tend to park my car near the "trolley shelter" when I choose a parking spot. Marianne and I take turns walking the carts back after we use them.

    1. I wasn't sure what to call it other than "trolley shelter" ... and when I googled it that brought up loads of, er, shopping trolley shelters ... http://goo.gl/M5hdy ...

More often than not I am a solitary shopper ~ I find it quicker and cheaper :-)

  7. I just had a conversation about this very topic a few days past, Charlie. It was with a lady in the parking lot at the local market. Very frustrating.

  8. I hate that too. I've seen people a car's width away from the corral just leave the trolley where it is. LAzy gits...

  9. for me it's the symbol of folks who don't give a toss about anyone else and can't be asked to even look after themselves.... grates on me the wrong way totally.
