... when I say that the envelope containing one of my two birthday cards received through the post yesterday made me smile ironically.
Then I thought, it is what it is ... just get on with it ... though it would have been nice to forget things for a day.
At least you did get cards ... that's a good thing.
ReplyDeleteYes, cards and kind comments on Multiply, on here and on Facebook. My mugshot seemed particularly popular on Facebook.
DeleteThere never really is complete forgetting is there...
ReplyDeleteNo ... but sometimes you can keep it well down in the mix.
DeleteBut it's nice to know the Royal Mail supports you, right..?
ReplyDeleteI am happy with any support I can get, tis true.
DeleteIt's just a postmark, Charlie. Maybe it will encourage people to donate to find a cure.
ReplyDeleteI quite agree Karen, it would just have been nice if it could have waited until say today.
DeleteDoes it get your stamp of approval, though?
ReplyDeleteIt did Mitch ... though I didn't feel enveloped with joy at the time.
DeleteDoes it get your stamp of approval, though?
ReplyDeleteI understand Charlie.. One day.. Just give you ONE DAY... YOUR DAY... is that to much to ask for??? NO... I understand..
ReplyDeleteTake Care Charlie.. Your The Best...
Ah well Barbara ~ I'm here to fight another day. Thank you for your kind comments Barbara.
DeleteAnd I will always be here to Help with the Fight.. Even if its a word or 2 of encouragement... We all need that at times...
ReplyDeleteThank you Barbara ~ that's really good of you.
DeleteI'm sorry Charlie, but I have to confess to being one of tens of thousands of RM staff who voted in favour of it being out charity of the year.
ReplyDeleteAnd I also forgot to wish you happy birthday...
Will I ever be forgiven?
It is an admirable charity ... and I may benefit so I have forgiven you already [though if I knew who you were it would help :-) ].
