Forgive my self indulgence [if that's what it is] ...
I just wanted to say that 'It Stays' [the "gentle roll on body adhesive"] really works. My compression stocking hasn't fallen down since I started using it. I won't be pulling it up every five minutes when I'm walking. [This sounds like an advert doesn't it.]
I never thought it would solve my little problem.
Oh happy day.
I never thought a bit of glue would make you happy Charlie,I hope you haven't been sniffing it.Ann
ReplyDeleteNo I didn't sniff it Ann though it does have a rather strong smell (though not when it's on fortunately).
DeleteAnd a witty post-title, to boot :-))
ReplyDeleteI've been waiting for the opportunity to use that tille !
DeleteThat is great news Charlie.. now you can go for walks without stopping and pulling those socks up every few minutes...
ReplyDeleteThat is the plan Barbara ... if possible,
DeleteIsn't it wonderful to feel a bit of freedom from annoyances. Walk long and tall pilgrim, as John Wayne would have said.
ReplyDeleteI will do my best ...
DeleteI'm so glad it works. Now you can enjoy what you like the most walking and without pulling up your stockings :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Diane ...
DeleteYou're going to miss exposing yourself in various rural corners of the world! lol
ReplyDeleteI will just have to use another excuse Jenny ...
DeleteSo glad it worked.
ReplyDeleteThank you Karen ...
DeleteGlad to hear about the stocking sticking Charlie!
ReplyDeleteThank you Ian ... there's nothing worse than having a non-stick stocking.
DeleteThank you for all your comments, as ever.
ReplyDeleteI experienced a setback on my first real walk with my stocking on 'full-stick' mode. It didn't stick !
I had to take stock of the non-sticking stocking situation. It may be that I stride out using longer strides or it may be that I walk faster ... I don't know what it is but after a hundred yards or so the stocking was hanging around my knee. I pulled it up a few times and felt a bit low ... it was a dark, dull day too.
Today though I have walked around Westfield, the shopping centre in Derby for a couple of hours and it stayed up. I tried to walk a little slower and taking shorter steps, without being stupid about it. The stocking stayed up !
I feel as though I've strained my other leg though by walking in such a way as I don't. I hope that makes sense.
