We're nearly half way through ... and the theme is still largely hares.
There is something rather absurd isn't there about a hare in a boat ... but I can see the fun in it ...
I went for a reflection initially before getting in a little closer ... and I did wonder whether it is a hare.
I decided Sculler looks worried, possibly because he finds himself in a boat on the Ring Pond at Chatsworth ...
And Sculler's ear appears to have a spine in it... which I don't quite understand!
ReplyDeleteI haven't managed to catch up with the documentary yet, but I'm keen to understand why Barry Flanagan is quite so obsessed with hares
Yes, I noticed the thing in the ear. I'm hoping to watch the Barry Flanagan programme too. Perhaps everything will become clearer then.
DeleteI like the boat but not sure about the Hare,it looks more like a Donkey to me.The body is rather strange.Ann
ReplyDeleteYes Ann ~ it's not one of his better hares is it. I wonder whether it might ave something to with the 'skull' ... 'sculler' ... or is that too deep ?
DeleteThat should be 'have' of course ...
DeleteIt looks like a hare-donkey hybrid.
ReplyDeleteWell, if the owl and the pussycat can do it, why not this guy?
I think I like this one..........
I suppose it could be a hybrid and I;m glad you like it.
DeleteSomeone needs to rustle up a few carrots for these poor hares. They're getting thinner and thinner...
ReplyDeleteIt does look a bit on the thin side doesn't it.
DeleteMaybe he was just getting tired of the hare theme and not putting as much into them anymore. Or maybe he was just tired. I will be interested to know what you learn from the documentary.
ReplyDeleteI need to watch the documentary so I can pass on anything I glean from it.
DeleteMaybe he just got tired of the whole hare series and was giving up on it. Maybe he was just tired. I want to hear about what you find out on the documentary please.
ReplyDeleteSorry about those two messages. My computer said the first one didn't publish and then both did. ????
ReplyDeleteThis sort of thinh happens all the time so don't worry.
DeleteOh I like this. Yes, he does look a bit worried - but, mind you, a hare would be worried being sat in a boat on water. I mean, hares aren't renowned for their swimming ability!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you agree with me that he or she looks worried. I wonder if hares do the doggy paddle ?
DeleteLOL Only in moments of sheer desperation, I'd imagine. ;)
DeleteIt is surprising what animals can swim ... I wonder if every animal can ? Now there's a thought.
